MLPP125 - Austin Rocket
We're blasting off up the A52 this week to visit Austin Rocket in Nottingham! Austin currently plys his trade in Scene Killers and The Hip Preists, but, there's a much longer backstory to his musical endeavours! We start out in the arse-end of Lincolnshire where there's nowt but fields and RAF bases and take a journey through the early 90s uk pop-punk scene, Scandirock, death punk and screech to a halt in the present day.We discuss what happens when a punk legend pisses your Dad off at 3am, two people (Austin's brother and a mod record label owner) find out the hard way about judging a book by its cover and we hear about trips to Oslo and following your favourite pop groups around the country. If THAT wasn't enough, we have a WORLD EXCLUSIVE first play of Reason To Leave's newest single! YOU CANNOT HEAR THIS NO PLACE ELSE UNTIL FRIDAY 16TH JUNE! Additional music is from: The Kunts, Hellacopters, Senseless Things, The Headaches, Real McKenzies, Clayface and Slant.
