This week, to mark Mother's Day, Margaret welcomes Angela Asante-Armar - also known as Sister Naa - the founder of Power To Our Mothers Foundation Afrika. She is also a UK employment lawyer and life coach helping to elevate and empower black mothers. Sister Naa joins Margaret this week to spread a message of empowerment and positivity, focussing upon the roles of mothers in our society, and why we should always regard them as pioneers when it comes to shaping and transforming the world we live in. KEY TAKEAWAYS The path to helping the world to thrive is to install mothers and women into more elevated positions, so as to use their wise perspectives and their experience in nurturing to help the world itself to thrive. When we experience trauma, it is there to teach us a lesson. It enables us to pay it forward, help others, and maybe prevent the pain for someone else. The role of women is often determined by society instead of our impulses or personal wants and needs. Instead, we should see women as the great distributors of power and knowledge, who shape the lives and thoughts of their children thereby influencing the world. The focus must be upon the mother. We are living at a time where there is a huge imbalance between masculine and feminine energy. Nurturing the feminine benefits everyone as it provides harmony and balance. BEST MOMENTS 'Mothers are world transformers!' 'I thought "I'm grateful for these things, but there must be more to my life than this"' 'Working with other women - I am always very nourished in that space' 'if you educate a man, you educate an individual. Her life was encapsulated in darkness, and she welcomed the thought of dying. From a breakdown to a breakthrough, these words from Viktor Frankl’s book, Man's Search For Meaning, changed her life forever: “The existence of life is to suffer; to survive is to find meaning in suffering.” Once she became aware of this, her life changed, and choose to live each day like it's her last…
