My Way
Freebird: The Ashley Freeman story is the story of Ashley's battle with addiction over the last twenty years. Episode 5: My WayPeople who are stubborn many times can't see the failure in their own plans. They believe that even if “their way” isn’t the right way for everyone else, it’s the best for them and they know how to handle things. Stubbornness will also cost people the opportunity to know when to adjust a plan and how to know when to change course. They will steer the ship directly into the storm, because they know best.
During this episode Ashley discusses returning to her Mom’s house after the Wrap program and eventually falling back into the old habits that have always haunted her. After a brief stay at the Madison Women’s Prison Ashley asks to be placed in Seymour, IN. This allowed Ashley the separation from Lawrence County that she so desperately needed. While she was clean from drugs, Ashley was drinking heavily and was still trying to fill a void in her life. Eventually she ended up back in Mitchell, and old practices die hard.Learn more about Ashley's story at www.freebirdpod.comTheme Music: Free Bird By Bugus
