"I'm a mother of two, divorced from David for a year. My heart was still mending from the betrayal when David had an affair with his now-fiancé, Emily. It was a messy breakup, and we barely talked….but we kept the kids out of the drama. But now I received an email from David stating that he and Emily planned to take engagement photos and want to include our kids. I am appalled. These are our kids. They are my kids, and these are ENGAGEMENT photos, not wedding pictures. David is crossing a boundary that should not be crossed like he's trying to imply the kids endorse this engagement. This woman destroyed my marriage and broke my heart. And I know the kids would be uncomfortable, too. My head is spinning, but I feel trapped, torn between protecting my children from having to go through this yet understanding that David has a right to move on with his life, AND they ARE his kids, too.
