The latest release from Christopher Nolan is, quite simply, astonishing. This biopic, in depth character study of Oppenheimer (based on the biography ‘American Prometheus’) is a remarkable piece of cinema, keeping you engaged and transfixed as you witness history being written, as well as the personal implications these events have on Oppenheimer himself. It seems that Nolan’s entire career has been leading to this film, and with no CGI at hand, I am absolutely taken back by the films impeccable spectacle and cinematography – on top of a jam packed cast who all bring their A game, none more so than Cillian Murphy.
