Our Mums Will Freak - Diaspora Friends
In this week's episode, I have the pleasure of being joined by Asson.Asson Kasonde is a Zambian-born father of two (a boy and a girl), currently working in the finance sector in Manchester which is a very interesting industry to be a part of but more on that later! He also enjoys a round of the old man’s game GOLF whenever he can - also an escape to focus on his mental health.
Asson is someone that has been a part of my life since the day I was born simply because our families have such a long history together. Growing up in England, we didn’t really hang out and yet we have kept in touch for years. In this episode, we talk about life, culture, and mindset. I really enjoyed this conversation because although we grew up in similar cultures, the cultural expectations of men and women can vary so it was nice to see where some of the similarities lay.
