Paddy Mayne | Ironman 70.3 wc, Paramedic, Endurance Athlete
Paddy Mayne is an absolute class act. Not only as an endurance athlete, or paramedic, but as a friend. He has a remarkable ability to be his full authentic self, to speak his mind, and do so in an inspiring way that encourages you to be a better, more open person. It is a privilege for me to share his journey through this platform - from breaking his back to qualifying for the ironman 70.3 world champs 2023.From a young age Paddy has been getting amongst all aspects of physical & sporting challenges – which has taken shape in a journey of life full of snow, surf, mountains, rivers & roads. Having been an alpine ski patroller in NZ for many years, before making the leap to study & live in Australia. He now has a full-on dual life as both a Paramedic & athlete – his days & nights will be spent saving lives, and somewhere between he fits in training blocks of 3-4 hours at a time. With his sights are set on the half iron man world championships in August, it is a pleasure to talk training, mindset & more with Paddy Mayne!Listen to the full interview on Spotify, iHeart Radio, or Apple Podcasts.#ironman #703 #im703wc #highperformance #ironman703 #worldchamps #triathlon #athlete #endurance #sport #data #rpg #coach #tallpoppy #australia #paramedic #mentalhealthmatters #aotearoa #newzealand #mentalhealthawareness #ed #im703wc
