Kevin Martinez

Kevin Martinez is a Sacramento-based pianist and music collaborator, who graduated from the Bachelor of Music program in Piano Performance at Sacramento State University, where he studied with internationally acclaimed pianist, Richard Cionco. As an internationally recognized soloist, Kevin specializes in Romantic era repertoire, frequently performing works by Brahms, Rachmaninoff, and Liszt, among others.

Kevin Martinez has some practical tips about improving one's math and reading skills:Martinez liked the math part more than the piano when he started to play because his goal was to be an engineer. After going back to school, Martinez got into music and the piano became his passion. Once his love of music deepened, Martinez noticed the relationship and sequence between numbers and letters, which he attributes to learning music and playing the piano. The hardest part about learning anything is knowing you have to go slowly.
