Val has problems with this book, Chloe has problems with her mic. We apologize for the graininess on her end, but Val is the star of this episode anyway. We're talking Girl, Serpent, Thorn by Melissa Bashardoust which is a pretty good sapphic fantasy novel inspired by Persian folklore. Val has some ideas on how to make the main character more likable.
