The purpose of this podcast is to provide content that brings emotional healing and restoration to stay at home and working mothers who are dealing with trauma and other difficult life issues from their past. A focal point of this podcast is reflecting on the scripture verses and praying for my audience. I pray as you listen to this episode, that God would bless you with inner strength, purpose, and provide you with the hope that you have been longing for. In today’s podcast I will discuss the importance of prayer and focus on the prayer when experiencing unforgiveness which is taken from my book, Prayer and Meditation: Finding Comfort, Hope, and Purpose in the Midst of Your Storm. Questions: Have you experienced unforgiveness before? How long did it take you to forgive the other person who did you wrong? Did you ever forgive that person? Was it painful just thinking about the issue involved and feeling that if you forgive that person, he/she will get off the hook? I want you to know that the person may never know how you feel and so you are hurting yourself this entire time, not the person you are mad at. Why should we forgive others? We forgive because Jesus said we should.  In Matthew6: 14-15 For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins. In Ephesians 4:31, the Bible tells us  Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. In Colossians 3:12-14 the Bible states:12 Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. 13 Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. 14 And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. This leads us to the importance of prayer: Prayer is an important daily routine. Even Jesus prayed consistently to God, the Father Prayer is communing with God. It helps us to get to know and build an intimate relationship with God. Prayer includes worshiping and praising the Father, prayers of thanksgiving, and bringing our requests to the father in the name of Jesus. When we go to God, we go in faith, believing that we will receive what we ask for. However, God may delay in giving us our requests,  because our timing is not his. Sometimes, we have to wait patiently on God. When we pray, we receive guidance and direction from the Holy Spirit throughout our lives. We understand what God desires of us and how we should conduct our lives. Let us Pray Let us read the prayer for unforgiveness. Lord, God, you are great; You show love to the greatest sinner You expect the same of me. You said, Vengeance is mine, I will repay; You also say Lord, If I forgive others, You will forgive me. So Lord, I confess and repent of my unforgiving heart And ask you t
