Priorities in Prayer

In teaching his followers The Lord's Prayer, Jesus not only instructs us in what to pray, but in the nature of the one to whom we pray and the reason why we are to pray in this way. It is to -Our Father- in heaven,- that we pray - to one who knows us completely and loves us like no other, and to one who is powerful above all and is able to give to us what he knows we need. This is why we can pray with confidence, and with his name, his kingdom and his will as the highest of our priorities, trusting that he will grant to us our daily needs as we ask him in faith. He is, after all, -Our Father- in heaven.-
