Psalm 111

Psalms 111 and 112 are companion psalms. They are acrostics with each line beginning with the successive letter of the Hebrew alphabet. They were written in such a manner to aid in memorization. Other acrostic psalms are 9, 10, 24, 34, 37, 119, and 145.-Psalm 119 gives the names of each of the 22 letters in the Hebrew alphabet. This psalm emphasizes trust in Jehovah to meet every need. Psalm 112 will describe the blessings God will give to those who truly love Him and do His will.---The following translation is given to enable the reader to realize the alphabetical character of the Psalm.
