Remembrance Day

We celebrate Remembrance Day as the day when the armistice was signed to end hostilities in World War 1. Remembrance Day it’s not about celebrating the bravery of individual soldiers, but recognising their sacrifice, and the impact of war on the whole world. Incorporated into it are rituals such as the one minute of silence which stops traffic and business and recreation throughout the country. Jesus also understood the power of remembering and gave a ritual to remember him. Phil talks about the Lord's Supper.
