Kyle Ramar Freeman is currently starring as Usher in A Strange Loop at the Barbican Centre.<br/><br/>A Strange Loop is about a young, gay, black writer who’s writing a musical about a young, gay, Black writer. Kyle understudied Usher on Broadway where A Strange Loop opened in 2022, winning the Tony Award for Best Musical.<br/><br/>Prior to making his Broadway debut in A Strange Loop, Kyle played Asaka in the US tour of Once On This Island. <br/><br/>After finishing his run in London, Kyle will star as The Lion in the highly anticipated 2024 Broadway revival of The Wiz. <br/><br/>This episode was recorded in Kyle's dressing room at the Barbican Centre.
