SCOTUS rules on religious freedom case involving a former midstate mail carrier. Also, budget deadline? What budget deadline?

The case of a former mail carrier in the midstate who said a requirement to work on Sundays violated his religious freedom is back down in the lower courts. Democratic Governor Josh Shapiro and Pennsylvania’s politically divided Legislature appear on track to start the state’s new fiscal year without a spending plan in place. The issue of funding for school vouchers is at the center of the hold up. Former President Donald Trump and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis are scheduled to speak at the annual gathering of Moms for Liberty in Philadelphia.
