They call him the 'Jazzhealer'... and why not?  he gives us the music therapy that we all need.  There's passion and devotion and pure delight emanating from Steve's saxophone.  Coming out of the Baltimore arena, Steve learned how to present this music from the streets but also attended Berklee School of Music and eventually became involved in numerous community-based music programs.  Steve plays both tenor and soprano saxophones but also carries the electronic wind instrument, EWI, with him for convenience.  A big fan of Sonny Rollins and others of that generation, Steve quickly became friends with Kenny Garrett with whom he communicates frequently.  From advanced improvisational jazz, Steve is quite capable of connecting the dots to R & B, as evidenced by his intermittent gigging with Kool and the Gang..  Steve is a fascinating individual with an array of interests and talents.  I hope you will find his dialog both educational and entertaining... I certainly did!  Enjoy...
