The Podcast This podcast is available to listen on all major social podcast platforms, search Talking Books hosted by J T Crowley. The Video is available on YouTube search Talking Books hosted by J T Crowley and now on Roku and Amazon Fire TV cable channels under ExpertsandAuthors,tv. E&Atv Click TALKING BOOKS SHOW. The Author Paul Jones was born in Pine Bluff Jefferson County, a small town in the US state of Arkansas that lies to the south of the state capital Little Rock. He was raised by his mother who was a pivotal figure in his life. Today he lives with his wife Candice to whom he has been married to for sixteen years. He has two sons from a previous marriage, Justin and Jordan who as a devoted father mean so much to him, not to mention Brentley his Goddaughter who he dotes on to say the least. At the age of fifteen Paul left home having completed high school, he served in the US Armed Forces as well as serving as a law enforcement officer and Prison officer. At the age of fifty-eight sees himself as retired with a new full-time passion in his life, writing. If you ask his friends how they see him in relation to cars they’d describe him as a ‘car nurd.’ Paul is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc, which is the first intercollegiate African American fraternity. It was initially a literary and social studies club organised in the 1905-1906 school year of Cornell University. Today its aims are, “Manly Deeds, Scholarship, and Love for All Mankind,” aspects that underpin the core of what Paul Jones as a man upholds and believes steadfastly in. Paul has a bachelor’s degree from American Intercontinental University in Criminal Justice, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude (with the highest distinction). In addition to the books, we are going to chat about in this podcast Paul has written a further two books, Standing Alone and A flavour of Stories. If you want to know more about those books, then you can listen to the previous interview we did in March last year on Webtalkradio. Paul has received numerous awards throughout his life and most recently the Trafford Publishing Gold Seal of Literary Excellence. For the purpose of this podcast, we’re going to review the following books. Check out our video chat here! https://youtu.be/pX5qoI8nsH8 Waking Up Jake’s Story Part 1 This is the story of Jake a man who most of us can identify with. For all of us our life story starts with our birth but the journey we take is different for everyone as we face our dreams, aspirations, issues and temptations. All these factors that contribute to who we are for some are based on a deep spiritual background, for others not so. Whether you have a faith or not you’ll still be able to follow, associate with Jake’s journey as he approaches love, marriage and many more trials that we all must face and somehow overcome be that with or without a faith under-pinning our lives. For me the book is a written play of Jake’s life told through various parts, acts and scenes. Paul has very cleverly partitioned Jake’s junctures of life into those acts or segments which some of you might want to express as chapters. There are eleven sub-headings to this story, for me, ‘Jake the man,’ ‘Fulfilling his Purpose,’ and ‘Keeping his Promises,’ stuck out the most, but don’t let me cloud your judgement here, have a look for yourself and formulate your own opinions
