Our guest on the podcast today is New York Times economics reporter Talmon Smith. Before joining the Business desk, he was a staff editor for the Times Opinion section covering public policy, economics, and culture. He began his career as a researcher and visiting scholar at NYU’s Journalism Institute and was assistant to the editor in chief at GQ magazine.
