Testimony of Pat Higginbotham<br /> Pat Higginbotham was a daughter in a military family. She grew up with three sisters; she was the third child. Her father was in the Airforce. They moved around a lot as most military families do but she felt she had one stable home in Lost Creek, W. Virginia, her mother’s family home. She grew up in the Methodist faith, but in her preteen years, she began to have curiosity about the Catholic faith because her neighborhood friend was Catholic. She got introduced to the Holy Water and the Sign of the Cross. Her friend also took her to a Catholic Mass. She felt the reverence of the Catholic tradition. She ended up marrying a Catholic man soon out of college. Pat Higginbotham. and her husband had three children. She struggled being a good mother and read many books on parenting. In 1981, Pat converted to the Catholic faith for the sake of the family and felt the calling from the Blessed Mother. They moved into a new home and the local Catholic Church had a Charismatic Community she got very involved in. She received the gift of the Holy Spirit. She learned through Romans that God’s love is poured into our hearts by the power of the Holy Spirit. Pat shares a few of her life’s lessons when hearing the Lord speak but not responding to the call. Pat became active in the Healing Ministry, visiting people in hospitals and prisons. She shares how God spoke to her in those experiences and revealed his mercy, love, and compassion.
