Jesus went to the cross and suffered on our behalf that we might receive salvation. Once He suffered and died, He rose from the dead and ascended into heaven to carry out His plan to bring the nations into the Kingdom of God through the preaching of the gospel. Today, Christ is reigning from heaven and carrying out His plan. He is sending forth His Word and Spirit into all the world and will conquer the nations and bring them to their knees before Him.
