The Freeway Phantom Murders

April 25th of 1971 in Washington DC 13 year old Carol Spinks walked to a 7 11 to go get some items for her family, on her way back home from the store she was abducted and later found murdered on the side of the freeway.Carol's murder unfortunately would be the first of a series of brutal kidnappings and murders of young black girls Carol Spinks, Darlenia Johnson, Brenda Crockett, Nenomoshia Yates, Brenda Woodard, and Diane Williams. in D.C. from a killer dubbed the freeway phantom.
