The Mayor's Revenge
On this Tuesday edition of Sid & Friends in the Morning, Sid thinks that his good friend and former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani is upset with him after America's Mayor voiced his displeasure with not being included in the Sid & Friends in the Morning NY Post ad that released yesterday. A weight was lifted off Sid's shoulders when the Mayor agreed to join the program this morning, the only problem being he thought he was booked for tomorrow. In the final moments of today's program, Rudy calls Sid on the show to apologize for the mix-up and to assure Sid that he was not seeking revenge when he missed his segment earlier in the morning. Breathe a sigh of relief, Sid, America's Mayor still loves you. In news of the day, a federal monitor wants to hold the city in contempt for the mess that is Riker's Island, the current Mayor Eric Adams finally speaks out on the straw donors to his mayoral campaign being indicted, President Biden defends his decision to send cluster bombs to assist Ukraine ahead of the NATO Summit, and Yankees ace Gerrit Cole gears up for this All-Star game start tonight for the American League.
