The Presentation of Jesus

The parents of the infant Jesus presented Jesus in the temple to redeem Him, because He was Mary's firstborn Son. This occurred about 40 days after His birth. Eight days after He was born, He was circumcised according to the Law. These two requirements of the Law fully identified Jesus with the old covenant. He fulfilled God's requirements in order for Him to become the righteousness of God for all His people.-During the presentation, two saints of God representing the righteous remnant demonstrate the grace of God that He had prepared for His people in Christ's coming.
