Yesterday, the South African Reserve Bank in partnership with the Department of basic education announced the winners of this year’s competition. The competition is about testing Grade 12 learners’ knowledge and understanding of monetary policy, and the critical role the SA Reserve Bank plays in the economy. Paarl Girls High School walked away with first prize and Krugersdorp High School came in third.
