TOTLB 495 The Pope's Exorcist
If you’ve been listening to the show for any amount of time, you know that we are pretty big fans of anything that has to do with exorcism! It generally makes for a good time, even in low budget projects! With that in mind, when we first saw the trailer for The Pope’s Exorcist, featuring Russell Crowe as the lead, we were generally very excited!! “Father Gabriele Amorth, chief exorcist for the Vatican, battles Satan and innocent-possessing demons. A detailed portrait of a priest who performed more than 100,000 exorcisms in his lifetime.” If there was any fear that Russell Crowe might not treat this genre with respect, they were quelled pretty quickly. Not only does he treat the genre with the utmost respect, he absolutely nails this performance! This is worth every bit of time time spent on the movie, not just if you’re into the horror genre, but definitely especially if you’re into the horror genre!
