UFC Nashville recap, bantamweight title picture w/ Megan Olivi
On today’s episode of UFC Unfiltered, Jim and Matt are joined by Megan Olivi to recap last Saturday’s fights in Nashville and assess where Cory Sandhagen fits in the UFC bantamweight title picture. As Jim and Matt wait for Megan to work through some technical difficulties, the guys discuss why they believe Cory Sandhagen’s ability to fight through a torn triceps tendon should be the main takeaway despite the low amount of combined significant strikes in Saturday’s main event against Rob Font. Then, Megan arrives on the show and takes the conversation towards the overall depth of the bantamweight division and what needs to happen for Sandhagen to get his title shot. After Megan provides some additional journalistic context to Tatiana Suarez’s resilient story following the unbeaten strawweight’s win over Jessica Andrade on Saturday night, she wraps up her appearance on the show by telling Matt what she and her husband Joseph Benavidez are streaming these days on TV.
