Walk in His Ways
Here is today's communion meditation. Our message for June is, "Walking in God's Best Today.' In 1 Kings 2:3 David gives instructions to his son Solomon, who is about to become king and tells him, And keep the charge of the LORD your God to walk in His ways and to keep His statutes, commandments, ordinances, and decrees, as is written in the Law of Moses, so that you may prosper in all you do and wherever you turn. The word for walk in the Hebrew means to "walk, go, continue, or flow." Continually walking or flowing with God leads to prospering. This is very similar to Joshua 1:8 where God told Joshua to keep His word in his mouth and to meditate on it so that he would do according to all that was written, and then he would prosper and have good success. Meditating and walking seem to be connected, and it is one of my favorite things to do... Go for a walk with God while meditating on a scripture. In today's communion we are asking God to help us walk in his ways consistently so that we prosper in all we do. Today's Health and Fitness Tip One of the challenges in life is balancing the spiritual and physical parts of life. On one side we want to meditate, pray, and read scripture but on the other side we have practical things we have to do like go to work, clean, exercise, spend time with friends and family. I think the key is to make them into one by bringing God into the practical things we do. Do them together with God, and physical exercise or going for walks with God are one of the best ways I know to practice this. I am praying for you. Daniel P.S.
