Let’s be honest, flying kind of sucks in the United States and it only seems to be getting worse - but why? It didn’t always used to be this way. During the early days of commercial flights during the 1950s, flying was a luxury experience. Seats were roomy and comfortable, airline food was hot and delicious, and being a flight attendant was one of the most coveted jobs in the world. Of course, there was one big drawback to this - flying was expensive. So expensive, in fact, that it was largely just a luxury experience for the rich. Then it got cheaper, it got more efficient, and it got safer. But it didn’t get more enjoyable. Check out why flying in the US sucks
