Join us for this year's Wichita Regional Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting with special guest speaker Arthur Brooks.Register Now!
When Bill Maness was fired from his sales job over disagreements about what it meant to support clients, he likely did not expect to see Syndeo, his own business, one day celebrating its 20th anniversary. He shares with Don and Ebony his thoughts on service, outsourcing and the value the Chamber provides to local businesses. On this episode we discuss:
How he chose to operate a service oriented business
Prioritizing customer service
Getting fired over disagreements with others
How Wichita was a fertile market for outsourced HR
Helping others focus on their actual business
Becoming an ally or friend in business
The culture at the core of Syndeo
Creating efficiency through outsourcing
Being unique in a marketplace
How the Chamber represents Wichita businesses
Keeping it in the family

In fact, we provide more services and programs in the field of human resources for each client than any other competitor in the state of Kansas. In addition, we are an Employer Services Assurance Corporation (ESAC) accredited professional employer. This ensures compliance with government regulations and important industry standards.
Over the years, Syndeo has developed unprecedented expertise in the region’s diverse economy. We understand what works for Kansas businesses.Bill started Syndeo Outsourcing in July 2002 with one other employee and seven clients that consisted of 300 worksite employees combined. Bill launched his own business because he didnt like the level of service that was being delivered by his former employer. Syndeo has grown steadily since its inception, has more than 50 employees, and serves more than 150 small and medium-sized businesses across the region. Under Bill's leadership, Syndeo has become an industry leader across the U.S. and a model by which other companies measure themselves. Bill is the board chair for the Employer Services Assurance Corporation, the co-chair of NAPEO Gives Back Committee and vice president of the Kansas Golf Foundation board. He recently completed a four-year term as a board member of the National Association of Professional Employer Organizations.
