Islamic Community of Afghans in Canada (ICAC) is a non-profit federally registered cultural, social and religious organization. ICAC began as a small community association in 1989 in response to the religious and cultural needs of the Afghan families who had migrated to Canada due to the civil war in Afghanistan. Two years later, in 1991, the organization was officially registered with the Government of Canada. ICAC currently provides cultural, social and religious services to more than 750 family members plus hundreds of non-members.
