I had already mourned the loss of material assets, certain friends, moving out and so forth. What I hadn't been emotionally ready for, was the crushing pain of waking up to the reality of who I had been ignoring for 17 years. SELF WORTH, love and true happiness. The reality of being taken advantage of, the role of a step-parent and so on....this is the therapy I can't afford.
