Talking frontiers aims to create conversations, exchange ideas, and stories by showcasing the rich and proliferating scholarship on North East India and the erstwhile colonial north eastern frontiers of British India. Geographically this frontier included not only the seven states that make up north east of India but also parts of present day Bangladesh, and Myanmar. The region was part of global networks with dynamic precolonial trade and commerce, and monastic orders.
