12: Foundational Keys to Our Kids Hearts

In today's episode we discuss what we believe to be some of the key foundational things in building a deep connection with our children. Our children want to be feel loved, heard, and pursued. No matter their age, they want to know that you are always for them and will always love them unconditionally. We talk about how we can love our kids well and what love can actually look like on a day to day basis. All of us want to feel pursued and seen, so we talk through some of the ways we can listen and validate our kids and how we can continually cultivate a relationship with them, even when they may be pushing us away. We know that loving our kids and having a secure attachment with them first comes out of a place of knowing that we are deeply loved as well, so as always, we talk about the need to sit with the Lord continually and invite Him into the deep places of our hearts where He can remind us again how much we are loved by Him.The Lord is so gracious and merciful to fill in the gaps with our children and even when we feel faithless, He is SO incredibly faithful!!!!References:Follow us on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/amesgirls
