16. The Talent Shortage/Surplus Paradox - The Disconnect between Supply and Demand with Kathryn Moore
"We can't sit around and complain that we don't have the talent if we're not willing to do something about it." - Kathryn Moore
In my recent Wellness in Hospitality Spotlight, I had the pleasure of having a wonderful chat with Kathryn Moore, a fellow wellness colleague in the arena fighting alongside many of us.What I found very interesting from our chat are two facts:☝🏼 We have a big pool of amazing, highly qualified wellness talent in the wellness industry - and they are all deeply passionate about their craft.✌🏼 Nearly every standalone wellness-related facility and hotel is complaining about talent, specifically that there is a shortage of GOOD talent. Now, clearly something doesn't add up here. There is great talent, yet we complain we don't have good talent. And what are we doing to attract this 'good' specialist talent?
In this episode I share the chat I had with Kathryn Moore to talk about this important subject which will impact the future of our industry.
