At this point, all you can do is laugh... or cry. We are about 4 years into the insanity of dealership markups on new cars and we have a CEO of a leading manufacturer, telling its consumers, they can't figure it out. This is not rocket science, we are not asking for time travel... but the way some of these manufacturers talk about dealing with dealer relationships, you would think we asked for a time machine! The upcoming 2024 VW #IDBuzz is an essential vehicle for VW and their North American market, and also their image. But, given that the price will be something around or north of $50,000, telling consumers BEFORE the car is out, that markups may be inevitable, is an excellent way to kill your own hype.
