25. S2 E7: It’s time you ask for more than is reasonable
We are very aware these days that men get paid more, get more funding, ask for so much more… and assume they’re going to get it. As women, we don’t get trained or encouraged to ask for that much. We’re taught to be ‘good girls’.To be grateful for what we’ve got.To be careful what we ask for.To be cautious and humble.
And when we do ask for something, we tend to ask for just a little bit more… to have something just a little bit better.
But this doesn’t help us change the system.
We women are extraordinary.
It’s time you ask for more.To ask for what you really want.To ask for what feels outrageously ‘unreasonable’!
In this episode, I talk about how you can figure out what you REALLY want, how to ask for it (and to have the confidence to negotiate) - and why women having more will make things better for everyone.
