Wheeler Mission opened its doors in 1893 and has began serving individuals experiencing homelessness, hunger, and addiction ever since. Wheeler is a remarkable example of a comprehensive, strategic ministry that is impacting its city and state, ands it programs include homeless services, residential programs, addiction recovery, and social enterprises. The ultimate goal? To point people to Jesus. In this interview, I talked with Rick Alvis (President and CEO) and Terrence Harper (Chief Program Officer for Men) about the story, strategy, and impact of Wheeler Mission.
