#61 - How Subtle Manipulation Is Everywhere: And What It Takes to Change

So much of what we say and do is manipulative and we don’t even realize it. We communicated in roundabout ways to try to get our needs met, to feel loved, to feel safe, respected, capable, or just to be seen in a certain light. All of these are subtle manipulations of speech and our relationships suffer as a result. Honest communication is to say something solely for the sake of saying it. To communicate what is true without needing it to elicit any response in another person.
