A Good Model | Luke 15:11-32
Happy Father's Day! What do a sheep, a coin, and a son have in common? In Luke 15, Jesus is confronted by the religious leaders for eating with sinners. In response Jesus tells three parables, one about a lost sheep, one about a lost coin, and one about a lost son. And illustrated in the details of this third parable, we learn of the heart of God the Father for a lost world. In this week’s Bible study, we take a break from Revelation to give a message of encouragement to fathers in honor of Father’s Day. By digging into the famous Parable of the Lost Son, we’ll learn four characteristics of our Heavenly Father that are examples to anyone who finds himself as a father or father figure in this life. What does God teach us about fatherhood? What does fatherhood teach us about God?
