Nearly 15 years ago, on July 30, 2008 Geo suffered a sudden, massive heart attack. Geo shares his story on The Light of Life discussing the five week long medically induced coma he was in and when he woke up on September 23, 2008 he was told he needed a heart transplant. He was immediately put on the list for a transplant and within 7 hours a heart was matched for him. He had his heart transplant the next day on September 24, 2008. Geo also shares his experience living with PTSD and spreads an important message to please seek help for your mental health. Naomi relates to PTSD quite a bit, Geo and Naomi both mentioning the most traumatizing part of the hospital is not the surgery, but hearing alarms going off, no sleep, hearing other patients scream, constantly being watched, etc. Geo is also the director of the Progressive Adult Cardiac Experience, helping young adults with heart disease learn life skills.
