Chapters 1-11 are doctrinal. From chapter 12 and on, Paul deals with our practical duty as believers. Notice in chapter twelve, we are to present -1- our bodies to God in verse 1, -2- our minds to God in verses 2, and -3- our gifts to God in verses 3-8. We will deal only with verse one today, i.e., presenting our bodies to God. This is the language of sacrifice and offerings.
