A Soft Answer

Proverbs provides the wisdom we need to live a life that honors Christ. It tells us, 'A soft answer turns away wrath- but grievous words stir up anger.- From this we learn that we are to answer, but that our answer should be tender, gentle, kindly and conciliatory. When we answer that way, it deflects anger but a harsh answer allows anger to flare up. We see many examples of this in the scripture including the prefect example, Christ who had no guile in his mouth when he bare our sins in his own body.
