August 12: Activist Heather Heyer killed by white supremacists, Charlottesville, 2017

August 12 is the anniversary of the day anti-racist activist Heather Heyer was killed and nineteen others were injured in a white supremacist terrorist attack in Charlottesville, Virginia in 2017. Heather was one of thousands of counter protesters against the "Unite The Right" Rally of neo-Nazis, Ku Klux Klan activists and other white nationalists and anti-Semites.
