The importance of insects such as bees for your garden, particularly your vegetable patch, can't be underestimated. Johanna Griggs has become incredibly passionate and interested in the humble bee. This passion is driving her gardening practices, which sees Johanna grow about 85% of the fruits and veggies she and her family eats. Johanna began her career in the pool as a competitive swimmer, winning a bronze medal at the 1990 Commonwealth Games, and a silver medal at the 1991 World Championships... before retiring at the age of 19. Having hosted the 12-logie award-winning show Better Homes and Gardens for 19 years, she has become an Australian household name.
