Chris - The Mid-terms and Basketball - Don't force it man!
No Red Wave – which is the main thing. But what state is America in? I’m embarrassed by the childishness of British politics, but wow, the American two-party system is trying really hard to compete in general crappiness.Campaigning costs in the US are ridiculous, what a waste of money. But on the other side, it’s a significant hindrance to any popular poor candidates rising up locally. If you don’t have access to businesses, forget it, and that is how the US keeps business interests at the top of the pile. The importance of education in a system like the USA is impossible to understate. When society is so polarised, formative opinions can ensure people choose a side very early on and the level of toxicity that exists will keep those people on their selected sides. An open-minded society would probably, though not definitely, encourage people to reflect and think about how different communities live and think and to take that into consideration. Maybe this is why the ‘right’ in the USA labels ‘progressives’ as a ‘dangerous’.The right-wing is trying everything it can to downplay the real and actual threat to black communities in the USA. It is important to maintain the conviction that black lives absolutely matter and in protecting black lives, people inherently protect all lives.I welcome opinions of every kind so please come and find me on social media at:Instagram: TwoandaMicTwitter: TwoandaMic1
