David Shifting the Mindset of the Israelites
1 Samuel 17:16-25 NIV When David arrived at the Israelites war camp, he experienced what the taunting of Goliath and he also saw how the Israelites felt at the sight of Goliath. But his reaction and mindset towards this situation was quite different. The Israelites were terrified of Goliath and had lost the battle in their hearts as they witnessed 40 days and night of Goliath taunting them. Now David did not experience this daily those of terrifying fear and hearing this same Goliath’s taunt where he defied the Lords armies made him rise to fight him. David was not focused on how mighty Goliath looked or the situation but was focused on God. David had strong confidence in God’s ability to deliver Goliath into his hands, the same way God saved him from the paws of the lion and the bear (his anchor testimony). What are we focusing our minds on? What thoughts are running through our minds when we are facing different situations? Are we focusing on God or on the situation? When we focus on God, we are able to listen and see the solution that God is putting before us, but if we focus on the situation we lose sight of Him. <br/> 𝙅𝙤𝙡𝙖𝙎𝙥𝙚𝙖𝙠𝙨 is a short clip intended to grow and equip us in our trust walk with God. The current focus is on life's seasons. Life is in seasons - so it is important that we lean in and learn from the Holy Spirit. I am grateful that every episode is inspired by the Holy Spirit. I encourage you to learn with me. #jolaspeaks @jolaspeaks #focusongod #powerofthemind #mindset #Israel #gospel #devotional #podcast#jolaspeaks @jolaspeaks
