Destination Deep Dive: Qatar and The World Cup
Soon the entire world will be turning their attention to Qatar as they welcome the highly anticipated FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. On this episode of Passport to Everywhere, Melissa Biggs Bradley welcomes Pierre Daniel to discuss how Qatar is preparing for the global soccer tournament. Thirty-two teams will compete with visitors coming from all over the globe to cheer on their countries and take part in an epic tournament that will make history as the firsWorld Cup held in a Muslim country and in the winter. Pierre, originally from France, holds many records as an ultra-athlete and mountaineer, including walking across Qatar and circumventing the country.
