Summary
In Deuteronomy 26-28, God emphasizes the importance of obedience as the Israelites prepare to enter the Promised Land. They’re told to set up reminders like a stone monument and altar to remember His law and promises. This is because people tend to forget.
The Law was given to show what sin is, even though God knew people couldn’t fully obey it. He had a plan for our salvation with Jesus at its center.
We often forget, so God gave us the Bible, encourages us to attend church, and pray regularly to stay close to Him. These actions don’t earn salvation; it’s a gift by grace when we accept Jesus as Savior and Lord, a reminder of God’s undeserved favor.
