Dr. Elizabeth Eckstrom and Humphrey Hawksley - The Goldster Inside Story Podcast
The Gift of Aging blends frontline science with inspirational stories and insights from wise elders for aging with health, joy, and purpose. Here is a compelling explanation of how our bodies and brains age, defining what can be expected with aging and what is unusual. The authors Elizabeth Eckstrom and Marcy Houle demonstrate ways we can significantly increase our chances for a positive aging experience into our 80s, 90s and 100s. At some stage of our lives, all of us will have to face the challenges of aging, whether for ourselves, our family or both.
The Gift of Aging follows the authors’ earlier best-seller The Gift of Caring: Saving Our Parents from the Perils of Modern Healthcare. Dr Eckstrom and practices and teaches health care for the elderly at Oregon Health and Science University in the United States. In conversation with Humphrey Hawksley she will offer key strategies for meeting the challenges of aging on a wide range of issues from inclusion to equity to handling legal and financial affairs. Her conclusion is that this third act of our lives can be exciting, meaningful and fulfilling and that, even though elderly, we can all continue to play our part in making the world a better place. Join Elizabeth with Humphrey for this exciting and revealing Goldster Inside Story at the special time of 4pm in the afternoon of Friday August 4th 2023.
