Duet with the summer in Santarcangelo

This piece is a duet between the summer song of the cicadas on a hot afternoon in Santarcangelo, and an unusual miniature orchestra of brass, strings and synthesisers. The long, sometimes juddering pulses of bass, brass and strings signify the slow lengthening of a hot day, while the bubbling arpeggios are musical mirrors of the cicadas themselves.
